Gail Katz-James is a Minneapolis, Minnesota based artist who uses recycled objects assembled on paper or fabric to create artworks that can be described as wall pieces, fiber arts, quilts or sculpture. Using recycled objects such as buttons, doll shoes, plastic dinosaurs, toy cars, washers, gaskets, rubber caps and springs, gives her limitless opportunities to play with form, size, texture and color. This in turn allows Gail to create a work that can calm, soothe or invite interaction and imagination. She holds an MFA in Textile Arts and Costume Design from University of Davis, CA.
